Summer News

To our amazing and loyal Bill’s Mutt House family,

As we cruise through the peak of summer, our number one priority—as always—is the safety, comfort, and happiness of your fur babies. We have some policy updates, a construction progress report, and a few quick reminders to share with you all!

Kennel Water Policy

ALL daycare and boarding dogs will automatically have water in their kennels throughout the day.

  • The Exception: If you prefer your dog not to have water in their individual kennel, you must explicitly request this at check-in.
  • For the Splash Makers: Don’t worry if your pup loves to dig in the water bowl! We are investing in heavy-duty, hanging stainless steel buckets for the kennel doors so the playful spillers can’t tip them over and get their blankets wet.

Keeping Cool in the Summer Heat

We take the Arizona heat very seriously. Here is a reminder of how we keep the pack safe and cool every single day:

  • Quick Rotations: Our playgroups are only out in the yard for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. Then, we switch groups, allowing the pups to head straight back inside to rest and cool down in the crisp AC.
  • Yard Oasis: While they are outside, we keep things fresh by regularly spraying down the turf, running heavy-duty fans, and filling up pools for them to splash in.

New Building Construction Update

Our new building is well on its way! We are currently getting ready to install the turf on the inside. This means our massive, fully AC-cooled indoor play area is coming soon!

Packing Light: What to Bring (and Leave at Home)

With a full house this summer, we want to make check-ins seamless. Please remember that Bill’s Mutt House completely supplies all water bowls, food bowls, and cozy blankets.

To help us keep track of everything and prevent lost items, we ask that you please pack light.

  • What to bring: Your dog, their leash, their food, and any necessary medications.
  • What to leave at home: Personal toys, bowls, and extra items. Please note we are not responsible for any personal items that get lost.
  • No Large Dog Beds, Please: We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing large dog beds. If a pup has an accident, these oversized beds do not fit in our washing machines, and we cannot guarantee that it will be returned in their original condition. If your dog requires it, we still honor your request.

Thank you all for trusting us with your beloved pups. We have the best clients in the world, and we are so excited to continue improving our facility for your dogs!
